What Are You Seeing?
Cockroaches Inside
Cockroaches may be noticed in kitchens, bathrooms, cabinets, utility areas, garages, or other places where food, water, and shelter are available.
Cockroaches Outside
Some cockroaches live primarily outdoors and may be found around landscaping, drains, garages, patios, or other areas surrounding the structure.
Evidence Of Activity
Droppings, egg cases, shed skins, or other signs may be present even when the cockroaches themselves are staying hidden.
What Can Keep Cockroaches Around
Cockroaches can remain where they have access to food, moisture, and protected places to hide.
FOOD
Crumbs, grease, pet food, trash, stored food, and other food sources can support cockroach problems indoors.
WATER
Sinks, plumbing, drains, leaks, irrigation, and other damp areas can provide the moisture cockroaches need.
SHELTER
Cabinets, appliances, cracks, storage areas, garages, and other protected spaces can give cockroaches places to hide.
Understanding the Cockroach Problem
Roach species
German cockroaches behave differently from Oriental cockroaches, so proper identification is important. Knowing which species is causing the problem helps us understand what you’re experiencing and recommend the right service.
Where They're Hiding
We look for the areas where cockroaches are hiding and the nearby conditions that may be providing food, water, or shelter.
How the Problem Started
We look at whether the problem appears to be coming from inside the structure, from outside, or whether the cockroaches may have been introduced another way. Understanding how the problem likely started helps us determine the right approach.
What Cockroach Control May Include
The service we recommend depends on the cockroach species, where the problem is located, and what we find during the inspection. Treatment may be needed inside, outside, or both.
INTERIOR TREATMENT
Interior service may focus on kitchens, bathrooms, cabinets, appliances, plumbing areas, cracks, and other locations connected to the cockroach problem.
EXTERIOR TREATMENT
When cockroaches are coming from outside, treatment may focus on areas around the structure where they are living, traveling, or entering the building.
A Few Things You May Want to Know
How long may it take to get control?
How long it may take depends on the cockroach species, where the problem is located, and how established it has become. Some situations may improve quickly, while others may require more time and follow-up service to get under control.
Seeing cockroaches after treatment?
Seeing cockroaches after service does not always mean the treatment failed. Some may remain hidden, and certain treatments are designed to work over time. We’ll explain what you may see after service and when follow-up may be needed.
Do I need to leave while you’re treating?
That depends on the treatment being performed. For certain indoor applications, people and pets may need to stay out of treated areas for a period of time. We’ll explain any preparation and re-entry instructions before service begins.
One-time and recurring cockroach service?
We offer both one-time and recurring cockroach service. We’ll explain what we find, discuss the service options, and let you know why follow-up or recurring service may be recommended in some situations. From there, you can decide which option works best for you.
